Dai-Sifu Rainer Tausend, the national instructor for Ireland returned to Dublin for a series of Wing Tsun seminars on the 21st and 22nd of April 2012. The instructor seminar took place in the Blanchardstown school on Saturday 21st with instructors participating from the various schools. Si-Hing Nicolas Maraite travelled again from Luxembourg for the seminar. As well as the participants working on their individual programmes, Sifu Tausend brought the attendees through a series of techniques delivered at a very close range with all of the limbs moving together and making contact with the opponent before they register that the attack has started.

The student seminar took place the following day in Sifu Aidan Canavan's Dublin City Centre school with attendees from the Belfast, Blanchardstown, Dublin City Centre, Sligo and Wexford schools. Also attending were students from the class that Si-Hing Robert Nipshagen teaches in Google. The Maynooth Wing Tsun just opened its doors two weeks ago and we look forward to having attendees from that school at the next seminar. Dai-Sifu Tausend expanded upon the material of the previous day teaching many examples of the Blitz concept. Following the break he conducted gradings for students from the various schools. Sifu Tausend gave private lessons to Aidan, Michael and Nicolas the next day working on applications of the wooden dummy form and ways of training it in Chi-Sau.
